Wrap Up a Gourmet Lunch

We make a big deal over dinner and an occasion out of eating dessert. Breakfast, as we know, is the most important meal of the day, and snacks are a must. Then, there’s lunch.

Lunch is usually eaten in the middle of a very busy workday, often at a desk or in a car. It’s not very ceremonious, but it should be! Lunch is what carries us through the most stressful and active parts of our day.

Yet there’s always the question of what to eat. A quick salad, leftovers from last night, a sandwich from the local deli. These are all fine, but how can you elevate the experience to make it just as special as every other meal?

I transform simple ingredients into extraordinary lunches with wraps. Today, you can find all sorts of varieties to suit your preferences and dietary requirements, such as regular wheat, whole wheat, coconut, sprouted and gluten-free. Romaine lettuce, radicchio and blanched collard greens also make extra healthy options.

Wraps take no time to put together, making them an easy on-the-go meal. Plus, they offer more intrigue and elegance than a few slices of white bread. Make them filling and healthful by including protein, vegetables and complex carbohydrates.

* Fill them with rice, beans and a dash of hot sauce to make a burrito.

* Make your kids upgraded peanut butter and jelly roll ups.

* Try chicken, lettuce and Caesar dressing.
